Western Red Cedar VG Boards
Clear Vertical Grain Heart boards are the highest grade available. Many pieces are completely clear, while others may have minor imperfections that do not detract from the overall appearance. CVG boards offer excellent dimensional stability and take finishes very well.

Western Red Cedar A&Btr Boards
A & Better boards permit more imperfections than CVG boards, but each board will still be highly restricted in imperfections allowed and will maintain an excellent overall appearance. Pieces are of mixed grain (vertical and flat).

Western Red Cedar D&Btr Boards
D and Better boards permit a more natural board to come through, with fewer restrictions on the number and size of imperfections allowed. Great for finishing.

Western Red Cedar Select Knotty Boards
Select Knotty boards allow knots and other natural features of the wood define the visual character of knotty grades. Select Knotty grade knots are sound and tight, and won’t impact the integrity of the board.
